Hi there, I found your blog through Asher Bolte's blog. Your little girl is beautiful! Those cheeks are adorable. I think your decision to carry to term is an amazing decision. You are already a great mom! I am NICU nurse and have seen and taken care of trisomy 18 babies. They have a special place in my heart.
I hope you will spend every single second with your little Eva. Hold her skin to skin, inspect her little body, gaze into her eyes. Tell her over and over how much you love her, take millions of pictures. PLEASE do not even have the cardiologist look at her. Cardiac surgery is risky, painful and will not change her outcome. A T-18 baby I just took care of did every intervention possible, including surgery and died in the O.R. At the end her parents said "we should never of let her out of the delivery room". I never comment on blogs...but my heart just dropped when I read on yours that you were happy the cariologist would be looking at Eva. Hold her, love her, pack a lifetime of memories into minutes, hours, and hopefully days. Make them pain-free minutes or days without IV's, chest tubes, and ventilators, and arterial lines. I hope this message is not inappopriate. Please delete if it is. Praying for a safe delivery and joyous moments with your beautiful girl.

Eva Janette is so very loved! My prayers tonight surround her, you as her parents, and all of your family. I pray that our Lord, who created, loves and knows your daughter, will allow her to touch each of you in a very special way. Much love - Lynne B.

Chrissy- she is just beautiful. I am in love with her and I haven't even met her... or you. I love the little pictures where she is hiding her face with her hands.

PLEASE... as soon as you are ready- please contact me so I can bring you dinner, or meet whatever needs your family has. I really just want to be of service in any way that would be helpful.

We remain in prayer for you and baby Eva (and the family of course).

In Him- Chelle'
